Q:  Why doesn't GASSENDI-DIETETIQUE only sell food?
A : Organics is, more than a way of eating, a healthy lifestyle.
Some large agri-food groups of which food is only a division, realised very quickly, that from cattle especially, one can derive all sorts of additional products.
In this way, beef fat provides gelatine, present in cosmetics (above all, lipstick), confectionery, also cattle blood gives a good colour to red wine...
GASSENDI-DIETETIQUE offers all sorts of products within the scope of an anti-productivist logic because we have made the choice to favour quality and respect health.

Q: Organic farming, return to the soil, old fashioned farming?
A : Archaic-culture no longer has a  reason for existing in developed countries or on a level (inter)national.
Organic farming, by its very strict specification of quality, for health especially, cannot ignore fundamental and applied research.  The reconciliation of natural balance and mastering the complex factors of quality production require highly technical and qualified operatives, only possible today.
Durable and lasting agriculture, organic farming has more of a future than non-organic productivist agriculture which has made the deliberate choice of blind and galloping artificialisation.
Modern? Agriculture which is careless and devastating? Archaic, agriculture which integrates and preserves?

Q:  Is organic food really so expensive?
A : Quality is our obsession, our products are not chosen as in a supermarket according to demand, but exclusively according to quality.  Quality is not dearer, it is the lack of quality which is expensive.  For a meal  with equivalent ingredients, organic food is cheaper and really nourishes without degrading health.  Meanwhile, there are different qualities of organic food.
GASSENDI-DIETETIQUE only selects for absolute quality, this is why certain pseudo organic brands or which have gone back on their specification, find themselves excluded from our range.

Q:  Does organic food have a future?
A:  Organic food is not a marketing product, it does not subscribe to the logic of consumption, but to a logic of absolute quality.  Organic food is not a novelty but the heritage of the past and know-how.  Organic farming is not frozen in the past and benefits from research but postulates that the starting point is qualitative not quantitative.

A: No, modified starch is an industrial process, like inverted butter or the hydrogenation of vegetable oils therefore there is no risk of GMOs in this note, save that it is disgusting and useless in healthy cooking. On the other hand the maize (for example) used for the extraction of starch could itself be from GMO crops and must in this case carry the legal  warning “genetically modified”.. in practice fraud is total because the seed suppliers knowingly organise the mixing of healthy seed and flour with GMO seed and flour to impose GMOs on consumers at source...it is desperate...... The only solution: eat organically (infinitely smaller risk - only an accidental and small risk of fraud - of finding GMOs) or to prepare as many meals as possible yourself from healthy ingredients (organic or from your own garden without chemical products) and identifiable.. and also it is better and puts the convivial pleasure of the kitchen and the table back in their rightful place.. An unbalanced product (during processing: one removes the wheat germ - the living part - also the bran - fibre which aids good digestion and the regulation of passage) is more likely to be fattening, because principally it only contains starch. Starch on its own can provoke digestive and gastric problems and thus can fatten.  Wholemeal bread is therefore best for health with the sole condition that it is produced organically.  Spared chemical treatments (fungicides, herbicides...), it shows itself to be more nutritious as it contains an important quantity of mineral salts and vitamins (lost in white bread), which implies a consumption less sizeable and healthier...  (see article to made on bread FR) “...I am 17 and I have been a vegetarian all my life. (see raffinage FR) Organic wholemeal bread is certainly dearer than ordinary bread(FR), but will be more nourishing and balanced, it keeps better and replaces several ordinary loaves without out flavour or substance. Quality largely compensates for quantity.  FOR THE SAME PRICE, LESS PESTICIDE. To eat organically is to learn to reason, to learn to ignore appearances.
